List of SOLIDWORKS Keyboard Shortcuts & Advice

Written by: Neil Lantto, Application Engineer

List of SOLIDWORKS Keyboard Shortcuts & Advice

If you got here looking for a list of SOLIDWORKS keyboard shortcuts, I’m by no means surprised, it’s a common request. I will oblige and give you the default SOLIDWORKS keyboard shortcuts at the bottom of this blog. The more you use SOLIDWORKS the more you will customize it and that includes your keyboard shortcuts. Your shortcuts will deviate from the default, they’re going to deviate from mine, and will likely deviate from your own co-workers. Because of this, do not rely on the default keyboard shortcuts list too much. I advise you to print out, save or otherwise display your own keyboard shortcuts.

Tech Alert: SOLIDWORKS 2017 Network License Error

It has come to our attention there are some time out issues with the 2017 Network Licenses. You try to open SOLIDWORKS or PDM and receive an error similar to this. This will also present itself in other ways that you are connecting to the license server. Like adding the connection port during install or viewing the License Usage on the client license manager.

SOLIDWORKS 2016 SP3 Is Available for Early Visibility

SOLIDWORKS has made the 2016 SP3 EV available for download. The main reason I bring this up is because they said the classic colors for icons could be used.

Now on first look I opened a part amd they did have color for the Feature tool bar. The 2016 SP3 with classic colors is on top and the 2015 is on bottom.

SOLIDWORKS 2016 Service Pack 2.0

Written by: Jonathan Weisz, Application Engineer

SOLIDWORKS 2016 Service Pack 2.0

Many SOLIDWORKS customers purpose to wait for Service Pack 2.0 to ensure a smooth transition to the new year version of SOLIDWORKS. If you have ever purposed to buy something new, you find that often the very first version often has little issues that need to be corrected.  SOLIDWORKS works hard to correct those issues right away and Service Pack 2.0 is the fruit of that labor.  Wisdom is the application of knowledge, in this case the knowledge we have is that thousands of SOLIDWORKS users have submitted feedback to SOLIDWORKS to make these corrections and improvements.
