Prerequisites:
SolidWorks Essentials Parts & Assemblies, and, if
appropriate, SolidWorks Advanced Assembly
Modeling Course and/or
SolidWorks Advanced Part Modeling Course
Description:
The SolidWorks courses in i.get.it are structured similar to
our SolidWorks instructor-led courses. i.get.it for SolidWorks
starts with a short PowerPoint presentation that introduces what will be
covered in the course. Courses are made up of units and lessons. All
lessons are a combination of audio and video in Macromedia Flash format.
The courses are served over the internet from Cadpo so there
is no administration on your part. A student is provided
with their own individual i.get.it account and signs on to their account
at www.myigetit.com to start a
session. Students can do their lessons at home or at work. Administrators
have the ability to put together custom learning paths for students.
What are the current courses in i.get.it?
The current courses in i.get.it are PDMWorks, Drawing
Essentials, SolidWorks System Administration, Major Release Update Courses,
etc. Since i.get.it is purchased
on a subscription basis, each user gets all new course content developed
while they are on subscription.
The i.get.it Learning Management System (LMS) has more than 4,000 hours of
instructional eLearning material currently in its database, serving more
than 25,000 users worldwide. i.get.it is well poised to serve growing
MCAD/PDM learning needs with ongoing new software content. With i.get.it’s
flexibility, you decide how much, or how little, of an LMS
is needed.

i.get.it Skills Gap Assessment
An i.get.it assessment is simply an internet-based test. The
i.get.it assessment forms a critical component of an effective learning
strategy by determining whether the student has understood the material
that they have studied.
The i.get.it assessment will
provide the i.get.it administrator or the student’s manager with a report
on their understanding of the material. Assessments can also be used at
the group level to determine the training requirements for an overall
group. Using the metrics and the analysis of the data,
individualized Learning Paths will be created.
The assessment will
allow you to sit down with Symmetry Solutions staff and develop the right
combination of instructor-led courses and internet-based courses from
i.get.it.
