MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.--August 21, 2002-- Symmetry Solutions, Inc., a SolidWorks Focused Value-Added Reseller, announced that it has completed the acquisition of the SolidWorks business unit of ProtoTek Engineering. ProtoTek Engineering will now focus on its core competency, Mastercam software and Extreme DNC Wireless shop-floor communications. Additionally, the two companies have entered into an exclusive relationship allowing the Midwest’s engineering and manufacturing industries the ability to work with a unique solutions provider that offers the benefits of a large organization and yet maintains its focus on distinct areas of expertise.
